This service is designed for athletes that desire ongoing support from their coach for not only their upcoming race(s), but also for pre-training block preparation and post-race recovery in between races. Online coaching is offered through the FinalSurge app. 1-on-1 in-person coaching sessions are available for an additional (discounted) rate.
WHAT IT INCLUDES

This is for athletes that have a race on the schedule and would like an online coaching plan between 8 and 20 weeks, without any commitment beyond race date. This has an option to select a custom race date and plan length, with a one time payment for the full program. 1-on-1 in-person coaching sessions are available for an additional (discounted) rate.

MEET THE COACH
Dr. Shawn Exley
Dr. Shawn Exley (Doctor of Chiropractic) has been practicing in Vancouver, BC, since 2013. He completed his Human Kinetics BSc program at the University of Ottawa between 2005-2009. He then attended the 295 credit Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States between 2010-13, further studying anatomy, physiology, neurophysiology, biomechanics, and nutrition, along with the extensive training in orthopedic assessment and clinical diagnosis.
His interest in running started after graduating in 2013. He competed in his first half marathon in 2014 and this inspired him to train more consistently. Since then, he has competed in numerous 10km, half marathons, and marathons, including the 2023 Boston Marathon in 2:51:18 (personal best). His other personal bests include 5:01.32 (mile), 17:12 (5km), 35:36 (10km), and 1:17:14 (1/2 marathon). He is now a McMillan Certified Running Coach. As a coach, he believes that everyone is capable of more than they initially think, and anything is possible with the right mindset, consistency, and guidance.
